Job Description
- **Must have Wine Costing experience.
- Minimum two-year college degree in Accounting
- 4+ years related beverage accounting experience
- Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently.
- Highly proficient on Microsoft Excel, Word; AMS a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Collect and analyze data about the company’s operational costs (including manufacturing, bottling, vineyard, tasting room, and more)
- Set standard costs of case goods and experiences
- Develop and analyze cost standards
- Carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis, for multiple brands
- Establish costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
- Recommend changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
- Advise leadership on analytics, including appropriate costing based on financial data, as well as some financial planning and analytics
- Manage the company’s balance sheet and capital expenditure
- Own and understand the Fixed Asset process, including the creation of asset numbers, capitalizing, disposing, tracking Construction in Progress (CIP) and various reconciliations
- Prepare various federal, state, and local tax reports including 702 reports, Federal Excise tax payment, monthly and quarterly CA sales tax payment and reconciliation
- Lead revenue forecasting and variance analysis process
- Create and update driver based financial forecast models used to budget Revenue, COGS, OPEX, with updates of key assumptions and financial impact analysis
- Create departmental OPEX forecasts by understanding spend drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Monitor throughout the month to land within targets, perform variance analysis, and determine root cause to fix issues
- Provide analysis of depletions, shipments, pricing, incentives, and promotions
- Develop and lead semiannual pricing review with Sales
- Lead the execution of the end-to-end S&OP process
- Manage the demand planning system and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to establish an informed forecast (statistical forecast, rate of sale data, promotions)
- Help create, modify, and manage the long-term (3 year) supply plan to help ensure continuity of supply across key appellation varietals and SKUs
- Leads real-time financial key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
