Job Description
Dairy Production Operator
Job Location: Petaluma, California
Job Type: Temp 1 week
Pay Rate: $18.50-$19/hour
Schedule: Mondays-Friday 7:30am - 4pm (overtime very possible)
Description of Position:
Do you have experience in food production or manufacturing? An ideal candidate will have some food manufacturing experience (dairy preferred but not required) with basic knowledge of food safety guidelines. Must be comfortable with prolonged standing, squatting, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Tolerance for loud manufacturing environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Produce cheese according to daily production plans
- Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards
- Report any product or quality concerns to management
- Follow all GMPs, SOPs, safety protocols, and company policies
- Use basic math to verify product counts and accuracy
- Minimize product loss through efficient work practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace
- Collaborate with production supervisors on goals and improvements
- Support and maintain the food safety plan
- Respond calmly and effectively to equipment or process issues
- Show professionalism and teamwork at all time
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established cheese company in Petaluma, California.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in food production or processing preferred
- Willingness to learn cheesemaking from the ground up
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic English required; Spanish communication skills a plus
- Able to work in variable temperature environments
- Comfortable with repetitive movements and physical activity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted consistently throughout the shift
- Flexible to work different shifts or weekends if needed
