Warehouse Associate
Job Location: Fairfield, California
Job Type: Temp to hire
Pay Rate: $20-$21/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6am-2:30pm (Day) or 2pm - 10:30pm (Swing)
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Warehouse Associate and enjoy keeping inventory organized and accurate? Our client is seeking dependable Warehouse Associates to support daily warehouse operations across day and swing shifts.
Working under the supervision of the Lead and Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will help ensure inventory is properly received, handled, labeled, stored, picked, packaged, and accounted for. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, detail oriented, comfortable working with inventory, and able to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment.
Available shifts: Day Shift & Swing Shift
Job Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming deliveries and stage materials for receiving inspection or put away
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures when issuing inventory
- Perform inventory cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel with daily activities as needed
- Properly handle, label, package, and account for inventory and materials
- Use computer systems and databases to enter, update, and research information
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established aerospace company in Fairfield, California.
Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
- Previous experience supporting a manufacturing environment is a plus
- Familiarity with computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Experience with database systems such as FileMaker Pro and AX is preferred
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift
- Dependable, safety conscious, and comfortable working as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely perform warehouse activities including unloading, stocking, picking, and moving inventory
- Ability to maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment
- Comfortable working in an active warehouse setting
