We are seeking candidates for a 3-6 month temporary Help Desk assignment in San Francisco at the famed Golden Gate Bridge District. There is a good chance this position goes full-time.

Under the direction of the Manager of Technical Services, installs, upgrades, and troubleshoots computer hardware components and software. This classification performs Level 1 Help Desk Support. The District has a centralized help desk number that is in service Mon-Fri. The Help Desk incumbent will be responsible for answering the email and telephone calls from the end user community, and will assist in problem solving, training, and assist with other computer support needs. Position also resets passwords and aids the Senior System Administrator in building end-user computers. Performs additional related duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of two years of college level courses in information systems, computer science or a related field (one additional year of qualifying full-time position-related experience may be substituted for education); a minimum of one year experience in each of the following:
Microsoft Windows
User support and training
Proficiency with various Windows versions, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Outlook
Novell or Microsoft LAN Environment
