Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Job Location: Sonoma, California

Job Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: $22-$22.50/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-4:30pm

Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Shipping/Receiving Clerk? Our client in Sonoma is seeking a dependable and reliable Packing/Shipping Clerk to join their team. While prior packing experience is ideal, training will be provided for the right candidate who can pick things up quickly.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Prepare items for shipment and ensure accuracy of packaging
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures against bill of lading, invoices, or orders
  • Determine method of shipment using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Inspect products for defects and accuracy before shipment
  • Post outbound deliveries using designated software
  • Pull, pack, and ship finished goods in a timely manner
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and record accurately
  • Ensure product codes and paperwork match the product
  • Operate forklift to move shipments from storage to pallets
  • Perform daily cycle counting of assigned areas

Description of Company:

Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment required
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Dependable, reliable, and able to work independently
