Job Location: San Bernardino, California

Job Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: $21-$21.43/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm

Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Secretary I? We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Secretary I to provide administrative and clerical support in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate brings strong secretarial experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion. This role supports professional and administrative staff and requires reliability, clear communication, and a proactive approach to daily operations.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and manage appointments for department staff

  • Compose, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, and official documents

  • Prepare agendas, take and transcribe meeting minutes, and distribute materials

  • Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems

  • Respond to phone, email, and in-person inquiries with professional customer service

  • Assist with preparing and submitting departmental forms, reports, and documentation

  • Perform data entry and basic spreadsheet management

  • Order, track, and maintain office supplies and equipment

  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned


Description of Company:
You will be supporting a government agency in a city in San Bernardino County.

Experience Required:
  • Experience: At least 1 year of full-time secretarial experience supporting a professional or administrative position

  • Typing: Minimum 40 words per minute

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Organization: High attention to detail, effective time management, and ability to prioritize tasks
