Gulf Coast Lab Director
Evaluate ASTM, UOP, IP, proprietary methods, etc.
Formulate a plan of action with the assistance of local laboratory mangement.
Ensure proper method and quality process implementation in all US OGC laboratories.
Perform risk assessment and evaluation of all instrumentation through technical audits.
Ensure business lines quality protocols are implemented and maintained.
Provide technical staff with instrument details, reporting requirements, advanced configuration and development requirements.
Ensure all laboratory staff understands each method, quality requirement and is trained to full 17025 compliance
? Bachelor's degree in a science field plus five years of experience working in a laboratory environment or equivalent experience of 10 years in a laboratory environment.
? Minimum five years experience working in a laboratory quality or audit role.
? Instrumentation background required.
? Must be able to travel extensively to various parts of the country.
Must be able to work unsupervised and independently.
Must be able to direct numerous activities at once and be able to work effectively under pressure.
Must have excellent communications skills.
Must be available to work weekends and off hours.
Knowledge of accounting software, Excel, Outlook, Oracle and various other client programs.
Ability to influence in situations where there is no direct authority.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment - maintaining an objective perspective
