Our client, a municipality in Solano County, is seeking to hire a Real Property and Asset Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position are to manage, negotiate, acquire, review, inspect, lease, rent or sell real property and sites for public use and improvement projects. Duties and Responsibilities:

Negotiate to acquire, sell, lease, exchange, or transfer real property rights for the City
Negotiate contracts with independent contractors involved with right-of-way acquisitions, appraisals, negotiations, and relocations
Collect, research, analyze, and act upon information related to property values
Provide estimated current values on real property
Manage real property projects, including administration of contracts or lease agreements, coordination of condemnation procedures and preparation of specifications, leases, deeds, or other documents
Coordinate real property management activities with appropriate City staff, current property owners, neighboring property owners, title companies, or others as required.
Review title reports to determine ownership, coordinate escrows, and assist City engineers in the preparation of property descriptions.
Prepare comprehensive reports and cost estimates for maintenance and repair improvements and correspondence in all matters dealing with property management.
Prepare progress payment reports on federally funded projects, including documenting costs and working closely with federal reviewers.
Respond to tenant inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

At least five years of experience in real property administration including acquisition and sale of rights of way, property management and lease negotiations.
Strong background in reviewing leases, responding to tenants, and overseeing appraisals
Previous exposure to working with real estate documents such as title reports, deeds, parcel maps, appraisals, leases, purchase and sales agreements
BA Degree from an accredited college or university with course work in Real Estate, Public Administration, or Business Administration
Previous work experience in government is desired
