Finishing / Packer Operator
Job Location: Sonoma, California
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $20-$23/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 2pm - 12:30am
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Packer or Warehouse Associate and enjoy working in a production environment? Our client is seeking a dependable and detail oriented Finishing / Packer Operator to support label production and finishing operations.
In this role, you will operate finishing equipment to inspect, slit, finish, and pack labels according to customer specifications. You will work closely with Press Operators, Senior Press Operators, and Quality personnel to ensure finished products meet company and customer quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and follow order specifications to properly set up finishing equipment
- Coordinate setup activities with Press Operators to maintain and efficient production workflow
- Inspect finished labels and remove defective products according to quality specifications
- Retrieve and enter information electronically as needed
- Report machine problems or equipment concerns to Maintenance or the Supervisor immediately
- Work overtime as needed

Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a Packer, Warehouse Associate, Production Associate, or similar manufacturing role is helpful
- Printing, packaging, warehouse, or production experience is a plus
- Flexographic printing experience is helpful but not required
- Company provides on the job training and training courses
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify potential problems and determine appropriate solutions
