Molding Technician
Job Location: Fairfield, California
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $22-$23/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6am - 2:30pm or 2pm - 10:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Molding Technician, Production Associate, or Manufacturing Technician? Our client is seeking dependable Molding Technician candidates to support the production department in the manufacturing of moldings. The Molding Technician is an entry level position that works alongside senior level technicians to learn molding processes, machine operation, quality standards, and production procedures. This role is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who is interested in developing hands on manufacturing skills.
As training progresses, the technician will take on additional responsibilities while continuing to work under close supervision and following detailed production instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work alongside senior level technicians to help ensure production equipment is operating smoothly
- Prepare products and materials for processing
- Measure and visually inspect molding products for surface and dimensional defects
- With guidance, adjust machine valves and dials to help regulate pressure, temperature, and cure times
- Understand how to identify defects and quality concerns on molded parts
- Follow all required safety procedures and production guidelines
- Learn and follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established manufacturing company in Fairfield, California.
Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-1 year of experience working in composites, manufacturing, molding, or a production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Ability to carefully follow written and verbal instructions for machine operation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues
- Dependable, safety conscious, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance
- Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts
