Under general supervision, this position installs, performs maintenance on all bottling equipment that includes repairs and performs preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance on a wide variety of bottling equipment/machinery, Program Logic Controllers (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives and Servo equipment. This position also installs, repairs and performs preventative and emergency maintenance on a wide variety of wine high speed bottling line equipment that operates from 170 bottles per minute up to 250 bottles per minute. Additionally the Technician will perform repairs on wine production equipment, support equipment, buildings, fixtures and systems.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Perform mechanical tasks, such as lubrication, filter replacing and mechanical repairs to pumps, compressors, filters and various bottling equipment.
Install, troubleshoot and repair bottling equipment.
Maintain, install and troubleshoot Program Logic Controllers: Allan Bradley
Maintain servo drives, controllers and motors.
Conduct limited technical inspections on winery and bottling equipment and perform required preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance actions.
Repair and maintain equipment package change parts.
Review service requests for repairs, and maintenance, determine nature and recommend appropriate solution.
Operate pertinent test equipment for the position (Multi Meter, Amp Meter and Ohm Meter).
Must have extensive experience repairing and maintaining high speed bottling line or similar equipment (e.G Fillers, depals, case-packers, labelers, palletizers, cappers, conveyors, inspection equipment, etc.).
Must have an excellent understanding of computer technology and be capable of working with Microsoft Word, Excel.
In depth experience and knowledge of PLC's, HMI's and CPU's.
Must be capable in Control Logix, Data Highway Plus and Device Net.
Must be capable of reading and interpreting technical manuals and electrical schematics.
Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Must be able to follow, observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, lift, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed, sometimes for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry heavy items up to 50 lbs.
