Job Location: Sonoma, California

Job Type: Temp to Hire

Pay Rate: $23-27/hour

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2pm-12:30am

Description of Position:
A wine warehouse is seeking a Packaging Technician ll/Machine Operator who is responsible for contributing to safe production team performance by monitoring and delivering consistent product quality and line performance across various tasks of the bottling and packaging process. This person will also contribute to maintaining asset reliability through the company's autonomous maintenance program.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production equipment, including Depal, Case Inserter/Erector, and at least two key machines (Labeler, Filler, or Case Packer).
  • Complete all required technical, safety, and equipment training.
  • Follow and enforce company policies, food safety, and quality management procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and legible carton print codes during production.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
  • Participate in shift handovers and report workplace hazards or security risks.

You will be supporting a well-established wine manufacturing warehouse, a global leader in the industry with a portfolio of renowned luxury and premium wine brands in Sonoma, California.

Experience Required:
  • 2 years of experience operating machinery
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Thorough comprehension of reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Flexibility with work schedules with variations with work days, line, and shift assignments. 
  • Mathematical abilities including basic calculations of raw materials consumptions rates, production rates, averages, and production efficiencies. 
  • Proficiency with basic computer operations
  • Proficiency with a computer application used to track operational efficiency.
  • Physical ability to repeatedly lift a 40-pound case of wine.
