We are looking for a lab technician to work in Santa Rosa. This position will have the opportunity to become permanent with our client. The primary job will be to prepare organic and inorganic samples for analysis. This person will assist the Sample Control Manager, Staff Scientists, and the Laboratory Director in a variety of laboratory and administrative functions.

-Assignment of samples into proper batches with associated quality control
-Maintains cleanliness of laboratory to include maintaining clean glassware
-Shares responsibility for accepting deliveries of samples and supplies
-Ordering of supplies as approved by management, maintenance of the company purchase order book, and maintaining inventory for sample containers and shipping supplies
-Assist in logging of samples, preparation of reagents and glassware, preparation of samples testing/reporting, and disposal
-Assist in maintaining lab work files and tracking lists, completion of incoming chain of custody documents
-Assemble and ship container kits

-Preferred previous laboratory experience; winery laboratory harvest experience ideal
-High school diploma required; strong math skills; some college level education in life sciences is ideal
-HAZMAT certification, or the ability to obtain a HAZMAT certification
-Excellent work ethic, team player, detail oriented, and client needs
-Strong oral and written communication skills, to include good handwriting skills

Pay: DOE
Any prior lab experience or chemistry/science courses are great. Lab experience does not need to be winery related, but usually, wine lab experience will result in some transferable skills
