Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30am-6pm
Description of Position:
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Lab Technician to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the preparation and processing of equipment used in sensitive field sampling projects for our clients. Your responsibilities will include tracking equipment rental requests, logging incoming samples and equipment, conducting preliminary testing, and providing support to various departments within the laboratory.

Your responsibilities will include tracking equipment rental requests, logging incoming samples and equipment, conducting preliminary testing, and providing support to various departments within the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and processes sampling equipment according to strict laboratory procedures
- Conducts hands-on mechanical work using specialized instruments
- Maintains cleanliness of the laboratory and ensures clean glassware
- Assists in accepting deliveries of samples and supplies
- Orders supplies and maintains inventory for sample containers and shipping supplies
- Assists in maintaining lab work files, completion of incoming chain-of-custody documents, and assembles and ships container kits
- Strictly follows all company procedures regarding quality control and safety

Experience Required:
- Previous laboratory experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma and strong math skills required; science courses at a college level are ideal
- Excellent work ethic, team player, detail-oriented, and organized individual
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and client needs
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including good handwriting
