General Labor/Shop Hand
Job Location: West Sacramento, California
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Pay Rate: $20-$22/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9am-5pm
Description of Position:
Do you have General Labor experience? Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labor / Shop Hand for an immediate temporary opportunity to support daily operations in a manufacturing and yard environment. This position is responsible for assisting with material handling, yard organization, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area.
The ideal candidate is reliable, safety conscious, and comfortable working in a dynamic industrial setting both indoors and outdoors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials and finished products
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse environment
- Sort, stack, and store materials according to company procedures
- Repairing items around the shop
- Perform general labor duties including sweeping, debris removal, and facility upkeep
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with additional warehouse, manufacturing, and yard duties as assigned
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established company in West Sacramento, California.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, yard, construction, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
