Job Location: St Helena, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $31.28-$41.82
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Financial Analyst? Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to support a departmental transition. This temporary assignment is expected to last several months and will focus heavily on invoice coding, contract administration, budget support, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with budgets and contracts, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic government environment.
The Financial Analyst will provide professional level financial, budgetary, procurement, and contract administration support for the department operations and capital projects. This role will work closely with department staff to ensure financial accuracy, contract compliance, and effective budget management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review, code, and process departmental invoices
- Monitor and administer department contracts from initiation through closeout
- Assist in the preparation, development, and administration of operating, capital improvement, and multi-year budgets
- Coordinate departmental purchasing activities and ensure compliance with procurement
- Review and process requisitions for services, supplies, materials, and equipment
- Research, analyze, and prepare financial reports, budget documents, and supporting data

Experience Required:
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, procurement, contract administration, or a related field
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budget management, and contact compliance
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports
- Experience reviewing and verifying financial documents and records
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong research, analytical, and problem solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and financial software systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication
