Electronic Mechanical Assembly Technician I

Job Location: Petaluma, California

Pay Rate: $21-$22/hour

Job Type: Permanent

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30am - 3pm

Description of Position: 

Our client in Petaluma is looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, has experience with small hand tools, and experience with electric motors. This position will become permanent for the right candidate. Assemble structural, electrical, and mechanical components into subassemblies of medical training simulators, adhering to accuracy standards and prescribed deadlines. Operate and test simulator systems and subsystems to ensure performance meets expected quality standards. 

Ideal candidate will have familiarity with computer hardware and software. Ability to learn to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, Bills of Materials, Build Books, and/or technical drawings to determine methods and sequences of assembly. Proficient with hand tools like: drills, wrenches, multimeters, etc. Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Experience Required: 

High School diploma or equivalent required. Basic math skills. Demonstrated electro/mechanical interest and aptitude. Good hand/eye coordination. Able to work with extremely small assembly parts. Strict attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: A One-year technical degree or 2 years of electronic assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
