Job Location: Stockton, California
Pay Rate: $49,524.80-$66,367.90
Job Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (may vary)
Description of Position:
Are you passionate about advocating for and supporting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community? Our client is seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community Coordinator to join the team. In this role, you will engage in resource development across the company's catchment area, participating in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and overseeing all steps of vendorization in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title XVII. You will provide program evaluation, technical assistance, and advocacy for quality assurance in services for individuals with developmental disabilities who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Collaboration with vendors, regulatory agencies, and community organizations is key to ensure compliance with regulations and the provision of adapted services.

Experience Required:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college
- Two years’ experience with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluency in American Sign Language required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited interpreter training program
- Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and State automobile insurance, with an acceptable driving record
- Full use of automobile or ability to provide independent transportation
- Immersion in the Deaf community is highly desirable
