Job Location: Stockton, California
Pay Rate: $29-$30/hour
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
Description of Position:
Do you have work experience as a Bookkeeper? Our client in Stockton is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their nonprofit organization. Their mission is to support the people within San Joaquin County who need shelter, food, education, and clothing. This role will handle the financial responsibilities in the back office. We are looking for someone with previous experience in Excel and QuickBooks. This could become permanent for the right person.
You will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with bank account management and reconciliation tasks. To excel in this role, you should have prior experience as a Bookkeeper with proficiency in QuickBooks. Your duties will include:
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Reconciling taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month.
- Monitoring financial transactions and reports.
- Processing accounts receivable and payable.
- Processing checks.
- Understanding ledgers.
- Working with an accountant when necessary.
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a non-profit organization that is the oldest operating low-barrier shelter in the San Joaquin area, serving the community for over 83 years.
Experience Required:
- Previous experience in Excel and QuickBooks.
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Reconciling taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month.
- Monitoring financial transactions and reports.
- Processing accounts receivable and payable.
- Processing checks.
- Understanding ledgers.
