Job Location: Santa Rosa, California

Job Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: $20-$23/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Description of Position:
We are looking for an accounting clerk to help a government office for the next few months (approximately 90-days).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering the main phone line: helping people with pet license payments, answering questions about stray or adoptable animals, explaining laws, ordinances rules and regulations
  • Entering activity calls into the system, Chameleon database, for animal control officer response
  • Helping customers at the counter: process animal adoptions, stray animal and spay/neuter intake, stray animal pick up (return to owner), microchip implant requests, service animal tags
  • Take payments for dog and cat licenses, adoptions, impound fees, owner surrender fees, and quarantine fees
  • Help people find a stray or adoptable animal
  • Assist current and potential volunteers
  • Answer general questions

Experience Required:
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, including data entry
  • Cash handling experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
