Job Description
A county government office is looking for accounting support for their office. This would be about 90 working days. We are looking for someone with previous accounting-related experience, ideally with accounts receivables.
- Maintains expenditure, cost, and control ledgers, registers, journals, and other records necessary to control fiscal operations.
- Classifies, codes, and distributes to proper accounts and funds, documents covering encumbrances, expenditures, and revenues.
- May supervise the preparation of accounting summaries and reconciliations of cash accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and registers to control ledgers.
- Assists in preparing operating and other financial reports.

- Knowledge of accounting theory, principles, and practices and their application to a wide variety of accounting transactions.
- Modern office management procedures, practices, and equipment, particularly as they apply to accounting operations.
- Data processing applications to accounting procedures.
- Ability to: analyze and evaluate accounting data; learn the principles and procedures of governmental accounting; prepare financial reports; make mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately; properly interpret and make decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies.
