Account Clerk

Job Location: Stockton, California

Pay Rate: $22-$25/hour

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm

Description of Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Clerk with QuickBooks experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks, data entry, and financial record maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter and maintain financial data in QuickBooks with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
  • Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support month-end closing and reporting processes.
  • Assist with payroll preparation and recordkeeping.
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding accounts and payments.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team on various administrative tasks.

Experience Required:
  • Proven experience as an Account Clerk or similar role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in payroll processing is a plus.
