Technician Assistant
Napa - Long Term Temporary - $22-$25/hour
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Required:
  • Detail-oriented, carefully and accurately managing and entering data
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class “C” California Driver’s License.

Do you have experience as a field engineer technician? We have a long term temporary assignment working for a government agency in Napa. This position is a Limited Term Employment position, not to exceed 1,000 hours before June 30, 2023. Additional hours after that date are likely to be available if the assignment is extended longer. The start date or this project will be early April. You could earn up to $1000/week depending on your experience. 

On the job responsibilities will include:
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment and perform manual labor associated with tasks which may include lifting and working with the full range of body movements including bending, stooping, grasping and walking on uneven ground. 
  • Must be able to carry 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and/or be on foot for 6 to 8 hours a day.

This is a great job assignment for you if you have...
  • Experience with ArcGIS and GPS data collection
  • Experience with a municipal public works environment, particularly with water distribution systems.
  • Experience collecting and verifying data pertinent to civil engineering
  • Basic engineering drafting skills; engineering math; geometry.
  • Knowledge of symbols and terminology used in public works, engineering and drafting.
  • Knowledge of functions, characteristics and the proper use and care of engineering drafting and survey equipment.
  • Collect, file, code, index, update and retrieve reference materials such as maps, drawings and survey reports for use by professional engineers.
  • Redraw maps to new scale, depicting boundaries, locations of structures such as water mains, hydrants, streets, storm drains and pertinent related information.
