Embroidery Machine Operator
Job Location: Benicia, California
Pay Rate: $21-$22/hour
Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am-5:30pm
Description of Position:
As an Embroidery Machine Operator, you will be responsible for managing in-store embroidery orders, ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of machines, and conducting quality control checks on finished garments. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects efficiently within set deadlines, have a general understanding of various types of embroidery machines, and exhibit strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and complete embroidery orders accurately
- Set up machines for each job and update the retail team on order status
- Perform design loading, thread selection, hooping, trimming, and packaging
- Execute text line and logo embroidery on woven apparel
- Conduct quality inspections (QC) to ensure compliance with order specifications
- Prepare garments for customers through steaming and packaging
- Address adjustments or repairs to embroidery as necessary
- Perform minor machine repairs, cleaning, and oiling
Experience Required:
- Proficiency in running embroidery production, specifically familiarity with basic Tajima operations
- Preferred knowledge in graphic/digitizing and digital printing
- Capable of working with minimal supervision and maintaining a strong work ethic
- Directly supporting retail staff by focusing on work that assists store operations
