Aviation Painter

Job Location: Stockton, California

Pay Rate: $24-$25/hour

Job Type: Permanent

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5am-3:30pm

Description of Position: 

Are you an experienced aviation painter with a background in the aviation/aerospace industry? We have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, an aerospace company in Stockton, California, is seeking a skilled Aviation Painter to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing the flow of work from the Repairs shop through paint prep and finish paint, ensuring on-time completion of 95% or better. 

You will also be in charge of maintaining materials and consumables inventory levels and ensuring that equipment is properly maintained as scheduled or required. Your expertise will be critical in removing existing coatings, preparing surfaces, and applying various types of paints on aircraft parts.

Experience Required: 

To be successful in this role, you must possess comprehensive knowledge of aircraft painting tools, including HVLP paint guns. Proficiency in English, as required by the FAR 145 rule dated 9/6/2001, is essential. You should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in prepping and using hand tools. The ability to multitask, maintain stable performance under pressure, and meet deadlines is crucial. You should also be capable of handling objects up to 70 lbs and be able to stand and/or walk for more than 4 hours per day.
