We are looking for a Field Service Technician to partner with our client who manufactures and distributes machines for rinsing, bottling, capping, and labelling for the wine, beer, and spirits industry. Most of the training will take place in Fairfield, CA but will be required to train in Italy for two to three weeks.

This position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to install, set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain bottling and labelling machines.

-Travel to customer sites to repair bottling/labelling machines or install new ones
-Summarize work activities, collect data, and send clear and concise e-mails daily
-Conduct training classes at customer's site or in office
-Troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic systems
-Diagnose and prioritize problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust as required
-Keep maintenance records, submit inquiries for parts and materials
-Answer questions regarding operation of systems and equipment
-Understand bottling and labelling systems and machinery thoroughly, diagnose sources of failure

-Three years mechanic experience; three to five years bottling plants preferred
-High mechanical aptitude. Skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic troubleshooting
-Use a variety of hand and power tools and equipment safely and effectively
-Working knowledge of all bottling equipment. Experience on high speed bottling machines will be a plus
-Experience on industrial controls including PLC is a plus
-Good PC knowledge: fill documents online using tablet o PC, read/answer emails
-Excellent oral and written communication
-Flexible to travel up to 90% of the time in the USA (5-10% may be a foreign country)
-Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
-Spanish or Italian language is a plus
